Refund & Returns Policy

1. Research Use Only Reminder

All products sold by Research Chemical Lab are research chemicals intended strictly for laboratory and scientific research purposes only and are not for human or animal consumption. This policy applies within that context and does not create any warranty or fitness for any other use.

2. Order Cancellations

  • You may request to cancel an order before it has been dispatched by contacting us at sale@researchchemicalsupply.nl with your order number.
  • Once an order has been processed or shipped, it can no longer be cancelled and will instead be subject to the return terms below (where applicable).

3. Returns

Due to the nature of research chemical products, and to maintain the integrity, purity, and chain-of-custody of every batch, we are only able to accept returns under the following conditions:

  • The product is unopened, unused, and in its original, undamaged packaging with seals intact.
  • The return request is made within 7 days of delivery.
  • You have contacted us in advance and received confirmation/authorization to return the item.

We do not accept returns of products that have been opened, used, tampered with, or where the seal/packaging has been broken, due to research integrity and safety standards.

4. Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items

  • If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or with items missing, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos of the product and packaging as received.
  • Once verified, we will offer a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.

5. Non-Returnable Situations

We are unable to offer returns, refunds, or replacements in the following cases:

  • The product has been opened, used, or altered in any way
  • The return request is made outside the stated return window
  • The item was damaged due to improper storage or handling after delivery
  • The order was seized, delayed, or destroyed by customs or postal authorities due to import restrictions in the destination country
  • An incorrect shipping address was provided by the customer

6. How to Request a Return or Refund

To initiate a return or refund request:

  1. Email us at sale@researchchemicalsupply.nl with your order number and reason for the request
  2. Include supporting photos if the request relates to damage, defect, or an incorrect item
  3. Wait for our confirmation and return instructions before sending any product back

Items returned without prior authorization may not be eligible for a refund.

7. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (e.g., incorrect or damaged item).
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to our error.

8. Exchanges

We currently handle exchanges on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at sale@researchchemicalsupply.nl if you received an incorrect item and require an exchange rather than a refund.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our liability under this policy is limited to the refund, replacement, or store credit for the affected order, as determined at our discretion. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from a return, refund, or delayed resolution.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Refund & Returns Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
